it harks back to what was said 100 pages or so ago - in war women and children (90% of those fleeing based on the stats from the links below) are the ones that will always suffer the most and will always be exploited due to their vulnerability. they could have been british, german, french, irlsh, american or russian. nationality is no bar to inhuman behavior, but technically this is not inhuman it is the same age old preying on the young weak and vulnerable, and that goes on, every day, all around the world.

i made a slight edit to my post. ehmm relating to Nord Stream, I dont see it as a fundamental issue one way or the other. the fact is that western relations with russia were not terrible in the 90's and 2000's, its only in the last 15 years that things have ever deteriorated until it got to where we are today. its foreign policy that led us to here.

You are partially right, because the World did nothing and was too poor and backwards for the past 40 years, that is why America have 650 bases around the world in the name of Freedom and Democracy.

It's not about Russia-West relationships. It's about money. Russian gas export mostly relies on Ukrainian pipeline (95% in 90s).
