If covid is much less of a problem now, why does the Biden admin still insist on vaccine mandates for federal employees? Why did it try to stick to mask mandates which had to be overwritten by a bipartisan majority in Congress [1]? And why did 37 out of 48 Democratic senators in the vote on this resolution opt to uphold the federal mask mandate in question?

Either the lefty media are hypocrites, or the Biden admin and Democratic lawmakers are unscientifically holding on to covid restrictions which are no longer justifed by the epidemiological situation. Which of these two is it?



Also, flouting covid precautions is a pattern for Pelosi, she behaved the exact same while "covid was a much greater problem" [2].

The Pelosi hair salon thing was also a dumb gotcha. She was the only other person in the building and is part of a group that, at the time, got tested constantly. Hardly comparable to a large gathering that was confirmed to have caused many infections.

The hair salon thing was indoors, the Rose Garden ceremony was outdoors. An important detail that you left out.
Also, nothing you said refutes the point that the Biden admin and Democratic lawmakers are holding on to mandates and restrictions which are no longer epidemiologically justified. That's not an "irrelevant detail" to this debate, it goes right at its core.


Pelosi flouting covid precautions on multiple occasions - "doesn't matter, she was alone in the hair salon", "doesn't matter, covid is no big deal anymore anyway", "irrelevant detail".
Trump flouting covid precautions at ACB's ceremony or when he took the tour in the Beast while infected - "proof for the recklessness of the GOP", "they can't even protect themselves from the virus, let alone the country", "see how unfit Trump is to lead".

Trump and GOP refusing restrictions which were epidemiologically useful at the time - "science deniers", "grandma-killers", "profits and rugged individualism over lives".
Biden and Dems sticking to restrictions which have become epidemiologically obsolete - *crickets*
