The pope, the voice of god, leader of Christians, ordered the slaughter of thousands of innocents to spread the religion (the crusades). SIMPLY CAUSE THEY BELIEVED IN ANOTHER GOD!!! WOW. God must have been proud.
They got stopped by the way does that mean the other god is stronger than yours?

Religion was created back when we could not explain things like natural disasters and diseases. Then was used to control the people, LISTEN TO THE KING OF GOD WILL PUNISH YOU!!! A hurricane kills several people and the religious would go : god punished us for our sins! NO most of them were innocent, virtuous people and the sinners were safe in their houses. It’s simply a hurricane.

That is exactly what the Babylonians thought when they conquered Jerusalem. When you go into greater detail you find that the Israelite's were that wicked that God gave them over to their enemies. Yet through that he was in control.

Is that your opinion based on what you think? I think that God was always there from the very beginning. What if Religion weren't created but was there in the very early days? What if Christianity isn't a Religion but is described as a relationship with between God and I? The way life works now that is not indeed the case of Karma. As a matter of fact it seems quite the opposite if you ask me. The bad guys are the most powerful men of the time who got lucky to be where they end up or were simply born rich. All the bad guys did was take credit from other people's hard work and receive all the glory. They surely did not listen to God but they have been rewarded anyway.

If you really get down to it, nobody is innocent. There is nobody righteous, not even one. Everybody has fallen short of the glory of God and all have told God to get lost because I want to be the commander of my own ship.

But if god is everywhere and knows everything how cant he not stop his PRIESTS from raping kids..
Teenagers werent sluts 20 years ago so I guess Satan won the war recently
The most powerful men most of the time got lucky to be where the end up being or simply were born from rich/powerful parents yes they knew wyat they wanted but still had their share of luck. Why god gives them luck if they are such douchebags?

In the end religions killed so much more people than it saved its sad.
But if religions makes you feel good i guess its okay. If it helps you make it through the day its okay.

Like I said we have free will. God will not directly intervene. He let Adam and Eve eat from the tree as that was their choice of free will. Would you like it if your internet connection stopped working in order to prevent you from sinning online?
You should really think that the Priests who raped the kids didn't start off with that sin. There was something of a 'lesser evil' that they committed which in turn lead to the 'greater evil'. At what point would God intervene, at the lesser evil or the greater evil?
If he would do it to the Priests he would do it to everybody.

Does God give the bad people luck or did the bad people lie cheat and steal their way to the top? They want to be in charge so they will stop at nothing to get it. They invest their lives into this world. Then there is the Christian who believes "What good is it to gain the whole world yet forfeit your very soul?" The Christian who does not love the world and is not of the world because they invest their lives into the NEXT world. The next world that they believe after this world. What that means is perhaps they won't go for the highest and most powerful position because they would rather spend time with God as opposed to spending all their time investing in their business and money.

It all comes down to God or Money.

You say that religions killed more people than it has saved. Did you look that up or did you make it up based on your perceptions? I would like to think that over the course of over 2000 years, billions, trillions, quintillions of people have lived, believed and have been saved. A war that lasts for a few years doesn't surpass that number.
Of course if there are charts and graphs about it then obviously people have done their research.

Everything you say is also a perception ... Your parents probably thought you about religion before you were even able to think by yourself.. basically brainwashed. We could debate this for years since there's no way I can prove you the inexistence of god just like you can't prove his existence.

Jesus Christ is the Great I AM on Mt. Sinai that spoke with Moses.

Joh 8:57 Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I AM!

obviously a miss-translation from hebrew-to-greek-to-english

it was: Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, that just as Abraham came to being, I AM [already here]

Is it my perception that you put down the word 'thought' instead of 'taught' or is that the reality? To me I think it is reality. Oh believe me at a young age I was very rebellious towards God. I didn't even become a Christian until I was 18 years of age. Before that? Nope. I could tell you my testimony but that won't change your mind.

Do you want to know what will change your mind? Knowing that Jesus Christ died for your sins even though you were still enemies of God.

Most people grow out of the childish delusions before they reach adulthood. Your faith is nothing to be proud of - on the contrary, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.

Of course, I know my words will only bolster your solipsistic views...

I am ashamed of myself. I am a horrible sinner who has turned away from God. I would not even be able to look up at the glory of God if it were presented right in front of me. I can only throw myself upon the mercy and grace of God.

LORD have mercy on me, a sinner.
