I'm confused. Do you disagree that our species has become increasingly more intelligent over evolutionary time?

i assume you believe in evolution (macro) monkey to man ?
that mutations in the gnome (copying errors?) lead to some kind of grand building up process?

So throughout the entirety of our evolution, you believe our raw capacity for intelligence has been consistent and unchanging?

I am sure there are slight variations as you go from generation to generation. But overall, yes intelligence remains mostly static.

Our intelligence has not changed with respect to the relevant time period. Since the neolithic revolution to the present, our intelligence has remained roughly constant. 10 thousand years is a very short time with respect to evolutionary timescales

This is admittedly an unexpected response. While timescales are an important consideration, it seems well-supported that we have grown increasingly more intelligent on the macro-evolutionary scale.

Being more knowledgeable =/= being more intelligent.

Its like the IQ test. You can teach someone a lot of things so that he tests better however his underlying intelligence hasn't changed.

The only way for us to grow smarter as a species is through making sure the dumb people don't have too many kids and the opposite for the smart people.

On average we've probably been roughly the same in the last 10k years in terms of potential intelligence. Take a person from ancient Rome and raise them in today's cities and they'll be an average person like any other.

There's very little difference between a brain that is needed to organize society to build a pyramid and the brain needed to run a business today.

For example, I watched two grown ass women with science degrees discuss for 5 minutes what to do because one paper had John Smith and the other paper had Smith, John with all other identifying information the same.

The average person is exceedingly bad at critical thought if they aren't forced to develop good habits.

I think we have grown much wiser (in general) thanks to the glory of the written word and the logos. However intelligence, as an innate attribute, I would say has remained mostly constant

We essentially are. Humans are glorified monkeys that have been blessed with reason thanks to God creating us in his image. The divine spark of reason freely granted to us catalyzed our formation into the beings we are now. Homo Sapiens are a great ape after all, we are still apes
