Sorry, what?

I don't know where you got your 1.25% figure. However, let's go with that. The population of the US is 330 million.

1.25% of 330 million is 4,125,000 deaths.

.03% of 4,125,000 is 123,750 deaths.

0.3%, not 0.03%... you're off by a factor of 10.

Anyway, to your larger point: yes, with Omicron and once we factor in comorbidities and all that, the vaccines do not prevent a gigantic number of deaths. It's still several 100k, but oh well..
What you do not understand is that we are getting this gain for almost free as well. The vaccines are not coming with a great financial or health "cost", so they do not actually have to prevent a ginormous number of deaths to be worth it in the sense of a cost-benefit analysis.

Having a comorbidity isn't falsifying that Covid killed them. Comorbidity means other health condition that you have. If you have high blood pressure and get covid and die you aren't dying of high blood pressure like you're claiming here, because that was neither acute or even a fatal thing at the time. If your blood pressure goes through the roof you have a stroke, not respiratory failure anyway.

This is why nobody is listening to you about this, because people aren't chasing red herrings like this.

i am not claiming anything. i am sticking a CDC document in your face you hear that ?? its a CDC DOCUMENT SAYING IT. and when we are done here you will move on and act like it doesnt exist

Member when the left claimed it wasn’t some generic PCR test which provides false positives to “prove their numbers”, then less than a year later say OMG MUH PCR TEST IS GOSPEL.

People are so black and white in their thinking of this....I'm not accusing you of this, but people who are focused on survival rate are missing the point entirely. Death is only one outcome. Disability is another. Prior to this the number one cause of people losing their homes is medical bankruptcy. You have people unable to return to work. So many metrics are ignored by this black and white thinking....which is exactly why it is a logical fallacy and avoided in critical thinking.

They prevent death, hospitalization, disability, medical bankruptcy, losing employment, and so much more.

They've gotten a lot better over the year, yep, this is true. That is how research and development works. It is great. They really sucked at the beginning now we have accurate home tests.

Accurate home tests lol

If youre sick, stay home,
if youre scared, wear a mask
if you want a protection against last years virus, get vaccinated
this is really that simple

The vaccine overpromised and with Omicron has underdelivered

Proceeding to place restrictions is simply to reward, not to protect.

Refusing to ease restrictions is proof this isnt about public health.

You're only eligible for your bonus at my hospital if you're vaccinated, and I hear bonuses are yuge this year.

Same here, have to be vaccinated. At my previous job during the onset of covid, we were just getting $50 per paycheck to work. Which wasn't that bad for a part-time gig. Full-timers got $100 per paycheck. 65 or older employees got 240 hours of PTO. All part-timers got 40, full-timers got 80. Was surprised

I'm sure the bonuses at hospitals were probably more, but this job was a large home improvement store hehe

e: Actually it was per week IIRC, still not too bad
