0.3%, not 0.03%... you're off by a factor of 10.
Anyway, to your larger point: yes, with Omicron and once we factor in comorbidities and all that, the vaccines do not prevent a gigantic number of deaths. It's still several 100k, but oh well..
What you do not understand is that we are getting this gain for almost free as well. The vaccines are not coming with a great financial or health "cost", so they do not actually have to prevent a ginormous number of deaths to be worth it in the sense of a cost-benefit analysis.
People are so black and white in their thinking of this....I'm not accusing you of this, but people who are focused on survival rate are missing the point entirely. Death is only one outcome. Disability is another. Prior to this the number one cause of people losing their homes is medical bankruptcy. You have people unable to return to work. So many metrics are ignored by this black and white thinking....which is exactly why it is a logical fallacy and avoided in critical thinking.
They prevent death, hospitalization, disability, medical bankruptcy, losing employment, and so much more.

Member when the left claimed it wasn’t some generic PCR test which provides false positives to “prove their numbers”, then less than a year later say OMG MUH PCR TEST IS GOSPEL.
Hehe, I member
They've gotten a lot better over the year, yep, this is true. That is how research and development works. It is great. They really sucked at the beginning now we have accurate home tests.
