Lemme get this straight... now Hunter Biden is... "just a capitalist", and not the son of a father who DID engage in quid pro quo... illegally?

Pardon me while I laugh my ass off.

There's no reason to pardon your lack of witnesses.

Schiff's closing statement. Whatever you can say about the guy, most of what he says here hits the mark.

Great stuff.

Schiff is wrong though. We're not better than that. A nation that elects Donald Trump is a nation that tolerates his blatant corruption and abuse of power and a nation that will re-elect him.

There's no getting back to normal. This is the way it's going to be for the foreseeable future. A legitimate left-wing party and a party of kooks and cultists.

anyway, as to the actual meat of what was falsified on the Carter Page memo, all we know is;

and this FBI employee has only been identified as "someone working for Peter Strzok", ie, not Strzok/Page or anyone else we've heard of most likely.
that description is awfully vague, so its rather difficult to discern what's going on. I'm not sure I want to speculate without more details, all we really know is it was something between the FBI and DoJ about the Carter Page FISA warrant, so most likely Steele Dossier related

I don't think anybody expects him to be removed. This process has been pretty much perfect. It's been fast and everybody testified openly to Trump's blatant corruption.

Although we disagree on a lot of things in principle, you are an intelligent poster. A LOT of people here do not agree with the bold. Almost to the point of furious masturbation when anything rolls across that perceive as damning to POTUS.

We know a corrupt senate will pardon trump when he does get impeached and we will be able to put that corrupt Senate on trial during a national election.

We will see how this pans out for the Republican party in 2020.

Alas we can vote on the impeachment with a secret ballot and then you never know what can happen.

This is the $64,000 question. Will this stick to "Teflon Don" enough to lose him the election? I'm not sure, but it's possible.

The biggest issue with that is the Dems don't have a good candidate right now. If they had a strong front runner that rallied the troops (D) would win 2020 in epic fashion.

Can you decode the president's claim for us? Seems a bit kooky to me.

ayup

icepeon claims he will vote for any (D) candidate, even if they nominate the corpse of robert byrd, for the next few election cycles to “punish” republicans then he cries about other lefties

Senate was corrupt in 1998 apparently when it didn’t convict Slick Willie

and yes most of this inquiry is rooted in a lack of a front runner for 2020. The (D)s have admitted this openly

(D) has an identity problem right now.

Fuck them, though. Most of (D) is a dumpster fire, very few sane options over there.

Martin O'Malley I would of voted for. Since then I haven't viewed any of the dnc candidates favourably. Most of them are just radicals that shouldn't even be looked at for a person of office. If I was going to vote that side then maybe tulsi, but the rest of them are just insane.

The thing is, Trump has committed so many blunders and unforced errors, and has never found a way (or shown any willingness) to tone down his divisiveness, that he is in a precarious position. He doesnt have a lot of room to spare, his margin for error is already very thin.
The impeachment only has to stick with a small slice of the electorate to have a big impact on his reelection prospects. Losing one in five independents, which would be roughly 2% of the overall population, over this impeachment saga would already be a disaster for him.

This so much.
