How can you starve anyone when all your food and fertilizer export is prohibited due to sanctions and embargo? Holding Ukrainian grain you can make your own grain more valuable and get the sanctions off. That's the major goal. The most countries dependent on Ukrainian grain are Egypt and Indonesia. Most of you won't give a fuck if they are starving or not. Spoiler: they already are and been starving for years. Cheap labor, that's all they have. Share your salaries and they won't starve. In this crazy world someone works all day long for a pile of rice while others start to riot when they got electricity bills 10 higher than previous month

Some of us have pointed out from the beginning that escalating the situation would lead to a whole host of problems because of all the things Russia exports to us (read: we need that stuff) and to the rest of the world including wheat / corn / etc.

However some others called us bootlickers and called Russia nothing more than a gas station.

Funny that I belong to the first group, you belong to the second group and now you're posting stuff that points out that the war in Ukraine might lead to terrible food shortages.

Putin is stealing grain or block it for a reason.
Not really the first time a Russian leader is starving people to death in order to win his very own goals.

So he is the only responsible. Russia is already trying to sell stolen grain btw.

You guys shouldn’t think like that. Hear me out.

If you have a choice of rending a 2000$ apartment in NY. Where it’s dirty, nasty and water leaking, terrible neighborhood or something nice in Ohio for 1000$ and it’s safe clean, fresh air, quiet at night.
