what you say plays into my argument tbh, thats why i am saying that russia cant mobilise another time or to be more precise: putin tries to avoid an even bigger effort to not lose support
Russians dont want to go to army now, what can Putin do? Force his people to go to war? Catch people on the streets and send them to barracks? You can generally mobilize civilians to go fight when there is a defensive war, when someone attacks you, but the public wont accept a mobilization for offensive war in Ukraine.

ukraine is an ultra corrupt country and it got worse under selensky, dont tell me russia is responsible for their problems
Russia is partially responsible because it was trying to destabilise the country since 20years. Exactly same story why is Russia supporting antivax in western countries, they want to destabilise the countries.
And the corruption get better in Ukraine in last years, check Wikipedia Corruption perception index, while Russia is still in the red color for corruption and is not getting better at all.

the internet is full of ukranian units making videos about how they refuse to be cannon fodder anymore, i wouldnt underestimate how low moral can be on both sides
Of course the morale of the frontline soldiers isn't good. They kind of expected something like getting into forests, setting traps, shooting Russians, while there is a heavy artillery on the frontline and the soldier needs to have very strong mental to keep it together when artillery strikes on both sides.
Its correct the west could be sending more artillery to Ukraine, the Russia has still stronger artillery. UA have a lot of their own artillery, but they are out of ammo as they still used Soviet-format ammunition. The Ukraine is now dependant on their friends on ammo supplies.
And about the videos, there are videos of Russians giving up, changing sides, Belarusians coming to help UA, Americans etc.
Such videos are just videos, we dont know the real scale.
I hope the Ukrainians will be good, even though I know war with Russia is not a piece of cake.

i am all in for letting people do what they want even if means dying by the hundreds of thousands for empty promises and for territory they will never get back
Russians want to get rid of Ukrainians as a nation.
Maybe "kill them all" is too big word, but getting send to some arctic work camp or mobilized into army to kill your brothers is not a very much better perspective.
Remember the great hunger Russia did to Ukraine? They can do it together, just an example.
Mariupol is now humanitarian catastrophy for civilians who still live there.
Kherson Russia-occupied people get their money still from UA government so they can buy overpriced food from Russians, and its the only reason why the situation isn't that much tragic there.

its called ceasefire btw and ukraine should look for one to at least regroup, they are getting pounded by russian artillery right now
Regroup? The war has been static in donbas for months, frontline moves only several kilometres, the units are in the right positions.
Ceasefire wont make Ukrainians get more ammunition for their artilleries, in fact it will be otherwise, some countries might start to limit their supplies since there is a ceasefire, while we know Putin wont stop producing ammo preparing for round 3.
