I don’t even by this tbh. I think establishment democrats would rather a 4 more years of trump, and chance to have an establishment candidate in 2024, as opposed to 4-8 years of Bernie. The polls do not show a ‘drastic’ difference between the two, as of yet. His restructuring of Medicare bill is white devastating to the trifecta (corporate, pharma , insurance) that provides a large donation amount to traditional Democrats. In general the Democratic Party has demonstrated they are more keen on rhetoric than winning elections, which is why 2020 will also be a slaughter. A leadership that starts with Pelosi goes absolutely nowhere

yup agreed completely. and Bernie's vilifying of millionaires and billionaires has to have just about every donor shaking. who's going to donate a large sum of money to Bernie in the general election just so he turns around and taxes you for 2x or 3x more after he wins? paying money to lose money? thats just dumb.

Yup lol, which is why he also is unelectable. Don’t think grass roots support can compensate for this

Warren unelectable , more cringe worthy than HRC
Biden unelectable in 2020 (had a shot in 2016)

And 4 years later Democrats have learned nothing, and gained nothing. The shenanigans the Republican Party does with rezoning etc might be a bullet in the chamber, but the Democrats incompetency is the finger on the trigger pointing at its head.

Keep maxing 401k and watch it grow, bull going for at least another year or 2

yeah last 3 years have been a dream for this. went aggressive in my portfolios after Trump got elected which helped net a pretty decent supplemental % return over the period against the usual, then just scaled back to normal index fund/target-date retirement after about a year
also you had some bubble stuff (nvda/amd riding with the crypto wave) and then the continued growth of high-performers like tsla and nflx, along with blue chip dividend stocks performing well, it's been quite nice.

I dropped AMD from my roths at $33

Talk to me  :bonk: triggered

Also fk tsla. Shorted it successfully the first major drop 400->hi hundreds, then when it got back to 220 I opened up another short position. Left around 270s. Ask me how that went. Thank god I left tho lolllllllllll even more triggered

My retirements are mostly index so those are fine , my gamble money fund has only been saved due to roku playing so predictably haha.

haha ouch, well over the long-haul a typical investor will make a fair share of dumb decisions along with good ones. just always hope your dumb decision is with a small piece of the pie haha

i know a lot of people area against tsla (some for good reason) but i kinda got lucky with that one as i bought some shares at the end of 2012 and the next spring when the model S got that top-tier review and the stock price shot up from like $40-->$100 in a month or so. so ive always kept some in a long position as an ode to my 'genius' decision-making B)

and i can't do shortie, it would give me too much stress lmao i envy people who can handle it. when i gamble (and i'm much more risk-adverse now than say 5-7 year ago) it was swing-trading or going semi-long in biotechs and that's something i do not recommend unless you have an appetite for stress lmao

In general I am pretty risk averse as well. I gave myself a very strict gamble allowance and actually play safely with it so I always have my gamble money haha. In residency my bff was big into options and got me into it ... highest of highs , lowest of lows. I don’t have those bowels of steel that some do. Regarding tsla, fk you. And also congrats to you haha, that’s a huge winner.

Last comment of mine back to topic, it sounds dramatic but the fact that even tucker can back sanders harder than CNN is doing demonstrates a fundamental lack of foresight in the organization. Unless we just accept the fact that they have accepted Trump 2020 and have no real desire to win the election. I cannot really believe that they actually believe these antics will work. Bernie supporters still came out strong to back Clinton, doubt it will happen again. +Biden/warren will get crucified during live debate. Corn pop

what the democratic message started out as, and should have been all along: anyone is better than trump

what it turned into: based on what u said 30 years ago (or rather my perverse no context interpretation) you may be a racist, based on what you said or may not have said you may be a sexist, etc etc etc

infighting while ironically someone on stage says "this is what mitch mcconnel and donald trump want" every 10 minutes.....
