In the past 15 years the Google search has gotten dumber and dumber. I know it's not the algorithms, so it must be censorship.

It isn't filtering topics it seems, it only seems to switch individual words.

I don't use Google to talk to people so it doesn't really effect me. Unjust search things and I doubt it will change the words in emails. Not sure what this even does.

Interpersonally there is still no censorship. They can do what they want with their business, unless you guys want to create laws to make them behave the way you like.

good post friend i feel the same about ISPs, even if there is no other option in your area they should be able to throttle and charge anyone any price they please, even more or less for the same speed than someone else right next door may be paying. It's a private business.

and it's not like the internet has become any more centralized in the last 10-15 years, there will still be plenty of places left that lots of people could potentially see your words after Google and a few other big names in the industry implement this.

A private business using infrastructure that was paid for by public money.

The vast majority of infrastructure that makes up the Internet was paid for by taxes.

ISP's give oil companies a run for their money with greed. They aren't willing to put forth any investment and are perfectly fine charging people absurd costs when the costs aren't there from any justification of overhead but rather because they can.

As long as business is allowed to behave unfettered they will behave as amoebas.
