i never finished making mine but i was gonna go smite + hammer. figured it would be more viable but how effective is this vs charger or a charger/zealer ?

hehe, well. smite+hammer can pwn any melee char imo, but stucked when a caster/ranger comes in. a libby can pwn any kind of char with good items, and a lot of practice (and sometimes, a tiny bit of luck is also neeeded)
