You are an idiot, Tri - Res boots are far from super common in diablo 2 lod. I have play d2 lod for years and years and tri res boots have always been worth a bunch of FG if the resistances were 30+ and the boots were 30frw/10fhr

and even going back to the 08 days when you could get 30frw/20fhr/45/45/45 boots and shit these boots are a 9/10 but they are definitely far from "Common" as you say. Noob-

Of which aldurs are better due to more frw life and are Str glitchable

Of which crafted blood boots with 30/10fhr/life/life rep/ dual res are significantly better.


Tri res boots are only used by people like you who don’t know any better.

I never once said there wasn't better options for Dueling or even PvM but you stated these are a common drop and they are not. So speak facts noob or get owned like the little B you are.

They are very common as there is minimal prefixes (resists are prefixes) available for the boot slot.

And then minimal suffixes (frw fhr rep Dex being the main ones) available for the boot slot. Especially considering these boots only have 2 useful suffixes.

They are also common because few people use them. Causing supply to be higher than demand. With the demand side being people tht don’t know what they are doing, thus causing prices to shrink as people that care what they are doing aren’t going to buy them, thus reducing compitition on the demand side of the equation.

Not to mention the sheer volume of normal/elite/exceptional boot bases there are, with essentially no difference between them, thus increasing available supply as there isn’t drop class variables that matter

Yes ofc there are better items that are more valuable for a build now days than tri res boots with 30/10/tri res but what most here are neglecting is the fact that these are a rare drop and not a common item. There are tons of items on d2 that are worth thousands of forum gold that have zero use case other than its rare. So I can't say these boots are a trophy because they aren't but they are far from garbage or common.

If they were common they would literally drop once a day if I were to be botting like in the old days. Which I can guarantee you they most likely are not dropping like that. The item is not common but you keep telling yourself that.

Common items = low level unique, mid level unique, magic items, white items, - these are common items that you find when MF'ing.

But we’ve only seen 1x 40ias/280+ Ed/fools/rep/2 sockets weapon.

Weapons hve significantly more affix combos then boots and base matters (even tho the base the above weapon rolled in wasn’t the best base of zerker).

Not to mention it needs to be Eth, which is a 1/20 chance.


It’s very simple math, 30/10/100+ resist boots are extremely common simply due to the available affix combos for boots as compared to other item slots. Not to mention the fact that base boots don’t matter nearly as much as bases of other items such as weapons or armor or helms.

They are not common. For each rare boot, you have 1:133,151 chance of getting tri-res (no poison, 30+%) with 30frw. On top of that, the fhr was also a good roll, which with the 2 remaining suffix slots, getting 1 or more good roll is prob somewhere around 1:4. That means this boot or better occurs roughly once every 500,000 drops.
