Once again proves that far too many American cops are undertrained, guntoting idiots.

They didn't identify themselves as cops until after the shots were fired. That's a huge mistake.

Was he identified before he was shot though?

Lmfao theres a chopper and sirens everywhere, im sure they had loudspeakers before sweeping

fleeing the police isn't a victimless crime. Failing to obey the police isn't a victimless crime. breaking windows isn't a victimless crime.
what sent him to jail in the first place wasn't victimless crimes: His two felony domestic abuse counts, his felony robbery charge, his possession of a firearm as a felon- not victimless crimes.
Maybe the possession charge he got booked on was 'victimless', but damn if he didn't rack up a lengthy rap sheet

There are a lot of victims of crimes here, and one perpetrator of crimes here, and two police officers who did their duty by engaging in one of the most dangerous things a cop can do to protect public safety, pursuing a known felon with gun charges on foot in the dark

Did the officers know he was a felon with gun charges though? And your first 3 sentences are irrelevant to the actual shooting, because just because he is breaking the law doesn't inherently justify deadly force. For example, stealing candy and walking out from 7/11 doesn't mean you deserve to get shot. Same for walking around fiddling around with car handles acting like a noob.

However, if the officers who shot him KNEW he was a felon w/ gun charges then yes, it's reasonable to assume they were on high alert, and I will agree with you there

It factors into his own decision-making, whether the officers are aware of it or not. It helps explain why he ran from police.
As to whether the cops knew, we can only guess, but like toner pointed out, they sent a helicopter with night vision, that's three stars wanted level

Well yeah, his decision making but that also doesn't justify the shooting either, especially when he was in fact unarmed.

Trying to passively blame the victim more and more will unfortunately derive the creation of more fender's, and a like. These officers need to be held accountable.

It does justify the shooting when his decision to flee from the police puts them into a situation where they can quite reasonably believe they're about to get shot by him, and shoot him first
And he doesn't become a victim in that scenario just because he was unarmed. He was the one committing multiple crimes and leading police on a chase in the dark

The cops didn't wake up that morning and say to themselves, hey, lets lynch some niggers. He woke up and decided it would be a ripe day to smash in some windows.
Creating the circumstances that lead to peoples deaths, even if its the cops that justifiably pulled the trigger, makes you responsible. Its how someone can be charged with vehicular homicide during a police chase if one cop hit another.
