Just like the Tower of Babel, there is a site in Fiji where Fijians claim to have built a tower to the moon to see if it was inhabited.
Other versions of the Tower of Babel story are found the world over from Mexico to India.
The creation myth as known to the Marquesans in Polynesia mirrors the Biblical version with a serpent, Tree of Life, the fall, and everything.
The Polynesians have been cut off from the rest of the world for over 12,000 years, yet their story is almost identical.

There's a chapter, titled "Adam's Helpmeets", deals in part with the Lilith myth, and associates Lilith with deception of having differing visual phases, yet her attributes upon the planet are always consistent.
"The moon is the regulator and cause of menstruation," which is frequently regarded as being the result of actual intercourse between the moon and women.
The dangerous character ascribed to women is also attributed to that celestial body which is everywhere associated with women, the moon.
"Belief that the moon, or moonlight can precipitate conception is culturally widespread." (Briffault v2 585)
The moon deity thus combines an astral cosmic and mental aspect with the the core principles of female fertility in a way in which the genders form a natural and meaningful complement.
