Silence usually explores the first 2 maps, whistles until 51 and then explores to 71, best drop we had in the past 20 climbs was a 40 club with like 105ee, not sure what was the last semi decent thing that dropped before
we do evils and shamans regularly
not sure what you mean about the black to 35+ then explore and why that's supposed to be so funny, we are speaking of high level drops here which do NOT drop until 35 (or even 45 or 51 in our case)

Was also wondering about this.... when's the last time someone found a 55 item at lvl 20? :bonk:

This is the exact reason I made the statement..
Let's say the drop rate of ls changes a increases over time played.
Maps explored/ completed maybe increase drop rate?
Or maybe its just time in general that you are fully exploring that increases drop rate.
Any of those possibilities rule out your method.

@kenny a long time ago it was possible to well tier 1s and get high lvl side drops.

Out of 148 climbs this season. The best EE item that has dropped was a 102ee 55 padded robe.

There's a mix of 70-90ee items that are good to use but anything above level 40, the chance for anything just falls off completely.

I did a 20+% monster difficulty map. Which is supposed to increase drops pretty well. There was a noticeable change in drops, however tier 1-4s dropped all the time. Also the final chest didn't have a single item above level 15 and the monster level of the map is 65. You spend an hour and half exploring a good map and the final chest just lets you down. Did other high level maps and there's just 1 55 item. 1 item out of a 5 man group you might maybe get the item.

I agree with Randy on the point a lot of items would force maybe a saturation within the market.

But here's the thing Randy, hardcore is no where near any over inflation on the market. High EE 5-15 items are still valuable compared to where softcore there are 1000 thousand of them so they are worth anything.

Hardcore already had a pretty low supply of items and at least 35% of those items have been ripped or they are rotting on other peoples accounts.

Here are things I think could improve the drop system.

1. Change the mechanics of it. Instead of just clicking and hoping to get the item on a "dice roll". All loot that drops is yours to pick up and it's the same for everyone. Then modify this system to where a good balance of drops is in place.

2. Create content after level 71 other than mirror maze and the monsters scale with you. Mirror Maze is something a small portion of the ls playerbase can do. It requires firstly good gear and solid preparation. It's possible on hardcore but the risk requires most likely months of preparation and most people either don't have the desire nor the balls to put up that much risk. And countless people have done stuff beyond level 71 and from what I have seen not rewarded what you would think for risking to go that high.

I'm perfectly okay with 200ee and 55+ stat items being super rare. The problem is 90-140ee items in the range of 45-55 are rare as well.

At the end of the day, I don't think much is needed. But just new content beyond level 71 that isn't as hard as mirror maze but not easy or maybe multiple options for all types of players would be nice.

Skills take too much effort. They should be tuned but that's an entire another can of worms.

Good luck my buds and I wish you many drops.

Is this something you are suggesting or is this a condition you think makes items drop?

Wouldn't attempting mirror maze prove this to be true or false fairly quick?

I was going to make a post similar to this also
item quality needs to be increased, if anything it makes the game more exciting
it can always be toned back if it seems to be out of control but right now its terrible

Not sure all I can say is from experience. The 2 climbs where those 2 very nice items dropped were fully explored and took a very long time each climb. The Leather climb took 5 house an started with my guildy a I during from lvl 1. My guildy got the leather. Group was full 5 at lvl40 ish and was full explore the whole time. But these drops were before the most recent update. But who's to say there isn't a time based trigger for the drop rate unless it is tested.

we've done full explore and 3-4 hour climbs, it's not like that...

also I can only agree with lance, I had the same feeling, I've seen something like
105 ee lvl 35 earth
105 ee 40 club
94(?) ee lvl 10 ice
98 ee lvl 15 dagger

funny fact: the 10 ice and 15 dagger dropped in the same climb within 5 levels

and I think that's it from the normal climbs we did, there was also a pretty sweet 8x ee 3xx mana heal, but that aside since we are speaking of high level items

I wouldn't really find muting too reliable either, I've made over 500 level 20s and haven't seen a 3 digit ee a single time, highest I had were 78 and 80
however, a guildie that mutes 40s hasn't seen ee (at all, even at a low roll) in over 100 rolls I think

what I am sort of disappointed in is the stat range that was already mentioned on mutables, even if you mute an arcane 55 charm with 60 dex (just an example) it's more than just likely that the stats will still be t1-2 stats which is just...sad

Your guildies or maybe even you were in the long climb where the 45 heal dropped. Was 3 silence and then my guildy and I. Same guildy who got the leather.

i havent read all the BS associated in this post but heres my opinion.

if you want items here are a few dos and donts

do farm items and get level 100+
do mirror maze
do mute items
dont whistle
dont run from 9 wave evils
dont speed climb

just my opinion.
