...that's your personal opinion and not the position of institutions like the Roman Catholic Church .

... and their position is just as unsupportable as yours.

they have no choice but to bend over backwards to accommodate new scientific discoveries because they lack the power they once had to threaten people who bring up things that conflicts with the views of the church

It seems pretty straightforward adding evolution to God's plan if you would so desire.
They don't seem to be mutually exclusive.

...so here's a question for you or anyone else who wants to reply...given all the scientific evidence that supports evolution and a planet Earth that is 4.54 billion years old do you still hold onto the possibility that things could have happened just as the Bible records them ?

facts + "the Bible" are an oxymoron of ideas.

I physically cannot believe the earth was created in 7 days..
Only if you have no ability to do literary analysis.
any difference between this and cherry picking?

I literally just died!!! this is what i am talking about... they hypocrisy... criticize me for thinking taking something literal, then tell me to do a literary analysis... but you can't do a literary analysis of a science book...

Of course you can. You can do literary analysis on anything that is written. It might not yield a lot, but you can do it.
