Yeah, I think I did a bit too much leading into it :\
405 felt WAY heavier than usual so I didn't manage to get 455 up :(

I was actually talking about gearz. You could lean back more and get in a little better of a starting postion, with those hips lower. Looks good though, surprised that you couldn't get 455 with that easy of a pull at 405 :/

Appreciate the tip.

First time recording or seeing my form on video, I was just happy my back wasn't rounded lol.

No problem. Your natural instinct is that you want to rip it off the ground, bending your arms at the beginning. But it screws up your timing with your leg drive, because unless your an animal, you can't pull 465 up with bent arms, so they straighten right away as your hips start to go up. The goal is to move the bar with your legs at the beginning, which will put you in a way better position at the lockout and you definitely won't need to hitch. Yeah you're back looks great there.

2nd Deadlift max attempt: 465 lbs @ 184 lbs

Decided to stop here for today.

Push your knees further back to get the bar off the ground. and you want the bar to travel in a skinny skinny \ shape. It does not look like you push them far enough back because the bar looks like it has to go around your knee It shouldn't have to do that. Also do you lock out? it is hard to see from the video but it doesn't look like you ever lock out to me... the knee looks slightly bent but it could be the angle.

I don't have much new footage, but for my arnold training I will be posting the next few weeks, especially the 3 weeks prior to my competition.

No, single ply gear really doesn't hurt too much, and you get use to it. Some of the guys in multiply gear and illegitimate federations use ridiculous gear made out of canvas, denim, etc and that stuff can hurt... but there is really no point at all to use that stuff.

It just wouldn't be an H&F thread without my infamous age-old SLDL.
