Right now I'm wrestling too so I don't have much time but I'd like to post a semi-daily blog with my boxing training I've been doing.
Hasn't really picked up yet but it should soon once I find a legitimate sparring partner and overall fitness buddy that will stick with the routine.

Date - Session type: details
1/5/11 - Light Boxing Heavy Bag Drills: Focused on my movement being light on my feet, still have a long way to go, becoming more coordinated with my bob and weave but as far as punches I throw a decent jab and a good right cross other than that I'm still sloppy, getting comfortable using my left hook and uppercut though.
1/6/11 - Nothing because weightlifting class maxes start today through 2 weeks from now, will do light training on weekends.

Now that weightlifting maxes are over I get to start my regimen, not thinking I'm going to organize a list of what I'm doing each day of the week.

1/29/12 - 3 sets of feet elevated pushups (1 footish) 25 reps 1 set of elevated diamond pushups (same height) 25 reps
4 sets of 80 jumping jacks
3 sets of 3 minute interval heavy bag focused on bobbing and weaving, slipping, my 1-2 punch and overall movement throughout

That's it for today.
Oh yeah going to weigh myself tomorrow, think I'm around 178, I'd like to bulk to 185, currently around 11% bodyfat, I can cut to Light Heavyweight very easily now (175), 185 shouldn't be much of a challenge, haven't lifted weights in 3 months so I should build pretty quickly.

1/30/12
2x 30 second intervals with heavy bag (speed alternated) to warm-up.
1x 3 minute interval with heavy bag (power alternated)
1x 30 second interval with heavy bag (speed alternated)
3x 20 rep bodysquats exploding on the way up to work on muscular power.

That's it for today, thinking of taking a yoga class possibly because I'm going to start doing online schooling so I can dedicate more time to fitness/boxing. Also might start taking Judo, my gym is only offering until mid march so I may want to take advantage of it might help my wrestling skills.

Also I have a possible match coming up in Oregon in July, my buddy competed last year in the smoker down there in Fossil, Oregon, he lost but I helped train him, mostly haymaker throwers out there with terrible technique who leave their block down, should be easy to capitalize on.

Possible amateur mixed martial arts bout in Fossil too probably in August, feeling confident in my wrestling although my boxing and working off of my back could be greatly improved, Fossil has some Oregon state champion wrestlers, not feeling confident in working off my back which I will probably end up on because 1.5 years of wrestling <5-10 years haha.

Still need sparring partner as well.

Might have a buddy to spar with he weighs 155ish though so eh... maybe...

1/31/12
3x 2 minute rounds heavy bag focused on head/foot movement and my 1-2 punch, when I get tired clinch up the bag, allowed 2 clinches per, also focused on when entering and leaving clinch to keep block up and to enter with a punch.
1x 3 minute rounds with heavy bag focused on 1-2 punch slower paced
Focus mitts with my brother 4-5 minutes mostly jab to cross to left uppercut and I switched to southpaw stance and did right jab to left cross to right uppercut.
Also did ground n pound drills with the heavy bag for 3-5 minutes mostly focused on maintaining posture with my brother trying to pull my left leg off of the heavy bag, kept my hips down to prevent my "opponent" pinned down, rained down a good 60 punches with awesome power.
Finished it off with 1 more 3 minute round going as hard as I could on the heavy bag, killed myself today nearly, feeling really fatigued and dizzy-ish even now, had to pretend I was very pissed off at the heavy bag to keep going strongly paced even though I'm taught to keep a clear head when wrestling/boxing.

Sore from yesterday, played some dodgeball today for 15 minutes decent cardio lol, taking a rest as far as boxing, doing some stretching especially of my obliques it'll help my comfortability with my slipping and bobbing and weaving plus the overall rotation involved with most of my punches. As well as my wrestling from all angles.

Just got done training today for about a half hour.
Basically focused on 1-2 punches and elbows from the clinch range while blocking with an open hand in front of your head also focused on switching elbows while keeping the block up, practiced exiting with a jab after I threw 3-5 elbows total then restarted.
Did 2x 75 jumping jacks throughout and 1x 100 jumping jacks. Did 1 set of 15 jump squats to warm up, focused on coordination with my 1-2 punch jab head to cross body or jab body to cross head. My movement is improving, feeling confident in my training, still need to find a training partner for boxing/mma, hopefully has a wrestling background because I don't want to spend 2 weeks going over takedowns and sprawls again.

Got a haircut yesterday, forgot to mention look a bit like a skinhead because it's a buzzcut, did not intend it to end up that way :o

Taking today off threw up 3 times this morning, not going to school because of it, training might prolong my sickness so I can't have that, will probably be back doing training tomorrow because I'm already feeling 80%ish better.
