I see that does make a considerable difference what exactly is your payload?
also personally I would go for the 8.1 liter big block because I like the torque, the warranty, and how I don't have to drive around trying to find a gas station with diesel every time I need to fuel up
pallets of tile, cement backer board, 50lb bags of mortar. the more i can carry, the less trips, the less time, the more monies
finding diesel pumps isnt a problem, this is the country, everyone has a diesel pump

seeing how hes probably not buying a brand new dodge warranty doesnt matter does it? Cummins makes the best diesel engines hands down. out of every diesel manufacture in the world.... Cummins beats them.
a 12v or a 24v with a 6 speed manual will last you a life time if you play your cards right and take care of it. now the automatic trans is a different story.
if you're going to go with a ford, you have to get a 7.3L international motor. the 6.0L is an epic fail of EGR, turbo problems, oil leaks, coolant leaks and many more. the 6.4LTT is even worse, and i have no idea about these new powerstroke that just came out in may.
looking at getting an 04-06 model year. would prefer a chevy to keep my fleet matching, but im not ruling any trucks out.
the allison tranny is a big plus for me, im concerned about dodge's trannies being shit. it has to be an automatic, so that any idiot that works for me can drive it if need be.
the cummins doesnt strike me as necessary, as i wont be doing any mods at all. mechanically bone stock.
will probably throw a winch on it for when i go minor off-roading/camping, but thats about it.
what years was the 7.3l international made? im not opposed to getting an older truck either
