billy cobham is a beast, he's one of my favorite drummers and i think ive recommended him a couple times actually :p

my jazz is limited to essentially this: miles davis, john coltrane, the dave brubeck quartet, mahavishnu orchestra [and soon to be herbie hancock and return to forever]

If you liked that, then you'll enjoy everything Blind Pilot puts out. Torrent the whole cd, you won't find a bad song. Especially look for their Look At Miss Ohio cover.

This is beirut. It may look silly at first but you're gonna have to trust me on this one.

Here's a good track from the avett brothers:

Here's some wonderful Bon Iver, their track Skinny Love.

One of the ONLY female vocalists who I've come across and grew to love.

Of course you've heard Phoenix.

Fleet Foxes.

Animal Collective, sounding just as... well I suppose as a collective of animals would sound. The tracks called fireworks.

Sufjan Stevens, a rare track Lakes of Canada

Let me know your thoughts.
