King Crimson, if you haven't got their stuff already. If you like floyd I think you might enjoy them as well. Very proggy, very diverse. A good array of singers (sadly they have been through a lot of band members though)

i've got in the court of the crimson king, and yes i enjoy it :] there was a very good article about everything that they went through on waffles, but the link was apparently taken down ;[

I agree with this.
Personally, I like Larks' Tongue in Aspic, Lizard, and Red.

Edit: And of course, since you like Miles Davis, you can't go wrong with Herbie Hancock's early work (1961-1974)

Two albums. They're both great.
and the second one has guest vocals from Cait O'Riordan on one track and Shane MacGowan on another. :D

i will definitely grab at least that first KC album, and something early from mr. hancock. i've been meaning to expand my jazzy stuff, as it's very limited at the moment

my what account was disabled for inactivity or forum trolling. i'm not sure. regardless it's a shame as it was one of the first 1000 and had a great buffer+ratio :/
