what do you use to make signatures

a pen or pencil.

notepad. its only program for pros like us.

They are just basic pentooled shapes and tips burned or some gradient over them. Then he just added white pentool shapes for the glossy look. You could always draw the shapes on paper and scan and do the pen tool shapes according to your drawings, but those splashes seem like you wouldn't need to do that.
