You can also use delirium orbs on it, use sextants...
I also like to Alva master mission (with the magic pack node on atlas tree) (but that s because i like temple and Alva)

Chisel, alch, deli orbs, vaal
scarabs
map device mods

and understanding the fact that it's still all rng.

Can also craft on maps using beasts, delve and fossils

also make sure you get your 5 slot map device if you don't already have it.

Lots of newbs out there don't even realize you can do this
