Religion is useful for raising kids to be not the absolute shittiest people, that's about it. Keep it going too long and it has the opposite effect

Agree it's like dirty water you can give to someone who is dying of thirst but drink too much and eventually it will make you sick. It was a useful tool for iron age plebs and barbaric mongoloids who had trouble understanding concepts like "don't be a dick" unless you threatened them with violence.
