Having problems downloading bios on my Aorus/Gigabyte B450 Pro Wifi and I am getting the message saying

cannot start or run due to
incompatibility with 64-bit versions of
Windows. Please contact the software
vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows
compatible version is available.

I am downloading straight off of Gigabyte's website..

I currently am only on Bios F2.. Need to get to atleast F40 to use my new processor.. Current bios doesnt support it.. bleh.. Been hours please help..

re-install your old processor and update the bios
otherwise you'd have to bring it to a PC shop that has the older processor to update the bios for you

that error is a windows setup boot error, not a bios error.

make sure the only thing you have inserted in your pc when doing a bios update is a USB with the bios file ONLY and your keyboard/mouse.

seems like it's booting a windows setup usb, aka you're not getting into your bios, read your bios manual to see what key to press to get into bios, and hit that key a few times while the pc is booting. (usually f2 or f10), it flashes it on the start-up screen that will probably say "AOROUS" with "press x key to get into bios" underneath it

1. go to your motherboard support page (make sure you get the right revision #), im guessing https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-1x#kf
2. downloads->bios
download latest version (looks like F63c)
3. extract file to USB and have it be the ONLY thing on that usb. plug it in directly to your mobo (not case USB ports)
4. load into PC bios
5. find the 'update bios' option, or "flash bios".
6. navigate to the USB your plugged in and click on the file on it.
7. should update. go back into bios afterwards and check your version #.

refer to your manual for more detailed instructions (support page->manuals)

When I did mine I had to do each update starting from the oldest, could give that a try
