Oregon Measure 114. Sets new rules for the purchase of firearms.
Requires a permit from law enforcement for people to purchase firearms. Applicants would need to complete safety training and pass a criminal background check. The measure also prohibits magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
This sounds like normal gun laws in a normal country.
I've never required more than 10 rounds in a magazine. I'm fact most of my hunting is done with bolt action rifle, break open shotgun and spear gun.
There is zero need for large capacity magazines outside of a military situation, and checks and a license is pretty basic.
This change would only a affect people that are treating firearms like toys at a range. Unless you are shooting humans in numbers 10 rounds is more than enough for any application.
All of my hunting is done with traditional weapons
Long bow
Ruger m77 .270 win bolt action
Remington 870 wingmaster
I have certain guns that will never be hunted with therefor are "toys" as in just for fun. Hunting already has limited magazine capacity, crazy worthless humans are still going to get their hands on these "illegal" magazines and do the exact same shit
