I need to recover around 3TB of files in my hard drive, Disk Drill Basic Version only allows 500MB recovery.

Pm me if you can help, or post here if you have tips on file recovery

A long time ago I used some software called EaseUS to recover files off a hard drive that had been formatted by accident. The free version recovers a limited amount but it was enough for my needs. It's likely less than 3TB though.

If the file index is intact you might be able to use a live CD or USB linux operating system such as Knoppix to access the faulty drive and move the files off it. The main advantage to this method is it works on a machine what has no storage drives at all. The OS boots off the CD/USB into RAM.

do you know anything about the state of the drive? do you suspect a physical failure or did you maybe do something on the logical layer of the disk? you want to attempt recovery from a clone if you can, not the actual drive.

EaseUS will have the same limitation, use https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk if you don't want to spend money and think the problem is on the logical level. DDRescue for block-level issues. is it making any noise/was this following a particular action?

I've done what you need before and my advice refers to generally the most reliable options available if you want data recovery software that does not have a data extraction limit. so unfortunately if those two tools are outside of your wheelhouse you'll want to look into paying for something.
