I do understand that a percentage of homeless people suffer from mental illnesses.

It's not just about having a mental illness. Some of them are through and through shitty people. There is a very good reason that they cannot hold down a job and be a functional member of society.

I firmly believe you'll find shitty people in all walks of life.

That's not the point.

The point is that a lot of these homeless people are truly beyond redemption. They cannot be helped, no matter how much well-meaning people try to change their situation.

You are making excuses for people you don’t even know. This is a prime example of how not to help people in need of help.

Please do not argue simply for the sake of being argumentative.

Read this again and let it sink in: A lot of these homeless people are truly beyond redemption. They cannot be helped.

I don't know each and every one of them, but I have had enough contact with enough of them to see patterns and behaviors that most people are unaware of. I used to live in a lot of shelters and the clientele greatly overlapped with the truly homeless. I have also dealt with the homeless a lot although I personally have never been homeless.

If you guys really want to help them, that is fine with me. I won't and can't stop you. But you will very probably come to the same realization as me at some point in the future, that some of them simply cannot be helped. I am not begrudging them help or resources. I am just trying to make you see reality.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to personally help homeless people. I just understand there are simple steps one can take to better your life, one step at a time. My suggestions were getting towards these people helping themselves by taking away their free shit. Where I grew up there was tons of poverty and homelessness. 9/10 times they are just drug addicts with shitty priorities.

Build a building with 1000 small-sized flats, built to endure and last, with personal showers and bathrooms. This is made for homeless.

Have security people work there to follow people to and from the entrance to their rooms. And healthcare people working to look after them. A food service providing a minimum of quality food.

But every person that goes in and out, must go through a cleansing process where they throw all their clothes into a washing machine and shower properly, and use disinfectant of sorts. This is to prevent spreading of diseases and parasitic pests. And maybe take medication for those things if that exist.

Those who wish can live there permanently. But not a necessity. Every big city should have something like this.

This would be the easiest way to make an ultimate solution.

Also implement civil wages.
