Pits i can do hell but players 1. Sometimes can do players 3

Hell is better ... quantity over quality in higher level area. I usualy prefer quest bugged boss runs but sometimes farming generally in hell is better.

I don't think it works on d2r, haven't played that yet. Make a game that has done a boss, leave game, rejoin with a character that hasn't done that quest, kill boss. Now you get quest drop without getting quest done.

if you are looking for normal or nightmare items, i'd say mefisto in p8 is better. if you want hell items as well, pits.

Mephisto in general, especially without map hack, is not a very effective place to MF.

So much tele around to only kill 1 monster.
