dont think so. if you want +skills on the weapon, you go HotO for additional resists and mana. that weird wand does not help at all: white runeword boosts P&B skills, the only skill of this tree a summoner uses is CE (maybe bone armor as well for the paranoid people).
personally i went with beast on my summonmancer for the fana aura. this leaves your merc slot open for an A2 merc with either infy or pride

My mf hammerdins is completed, so I'm making fun builds.

Oh, one bowazon is completed already with Mavina set minus armor. She's killed Baal already. Oh, no she's not a FA zon

Next plan is sumonner nec with full Trang. Never made a summoner myself and wanted to use full Trang so I'll make one tomorrow.

My plan is Trang + hoto + marrowwalk + wisp + not decided ring + Mara.

And A1 Merc with edge + bramble + gface.

So I guess hoto is not bad for a summoner?

this, beast is the only option for a summon necro. also don't get pride even though it gives aura, it shatters bodies and minimizes the amount of skells you can make. i go with insight because spamming ce takes mana and eth elite insight still does good damage

Wow, massive physical dmg! And Infinity means no worries about AR and huge CE dmg! Awesome!

For its price, I never cared for beast, unless doing Ubers. Hoto main, cta swap you hit that wonderful 125fcr, telestomp anything, move fast, ce clears everything, res maxed without charms. I stuck a ebotdwp on merc with fort, gface, and hell Baal and D clone both drop nicely. (Merc is like 14k max dmg, 1 shots everything but bosses and stoners). Insight iron golem literally never dies (still have my original one) can spam ce all day.
