No... Revenge is not more powerful, but, the Attack covers the first 2 COLUMNS, not the last column.

You can get Revenge up fast, 4 ability points = 48%, Retribution + 6 Ability points = 40% and by level 45... so you can choose either +2 in Retribution (51%) by 55, or up Revenge + 2 (66%)

So the first 2 Columns means you can attack all monsters in the first 2 columns and 3 rows = 6 Squares.

Hope this helps... also, since the well monster always spawns in the centre(center) square, Revenge can hit it.
