30fcr from helmet can potentially open up to many gear swaps for to many char types making it overpowered.

This would need to be considered.

The difference between 20-25 just lowers the amount of FCR needed on FCR crafted amulets for virtually all builds. Thus also making it slightly easier to craft a useful crafted caster amulet. But not enough to make rare amulets viable for most situations either.

30 FCR helm would open up the builds that were meta during the good old days with the great 08 Valk (on USWEST, dunno if this was on USEAST?)

The best trapsin build utilized the 08 valk for 102 FCR with claws, where otherwise you needed to use Griffs

Sins could use a buff now too

But since a 30 FCR helm has already existed, the builds are not gamebreaking at all. It was great for necromancer too but not really. Mostly only good for sin.

I’m aware. But the reason other classes bwsides assassin didn’t use 08 valk was because it offered no + skills and was down a socket and thus only at best used 3 out of the 4 bonuses 08 valk provides, and at the cost of 2 skills and 1 socket.

Assassins used 08 valk because it got value form ias,fhr and FCR and frw.

But griffons and valk didn’t change the true required FCR from amulet slot. Making it 12fcr for 08 valk vs 17fcr for griffons. You still needed a crafted amulet for 102.


Other classes would be able to drop a rare ring for another unique ring for example. Or use a rare amulet instead of crafted amuler, which gives them essentially 2 additional affixes from amulet.

And if they had 30fcr from helm along with the other bonuses, you are now essentially removing rare circlets from the game, as the meta would be to use the Runeword above all the time, if it had 30fcr on it instead of the 20-25.


This is why people like me should design this stuff, because I am accounting for all variables.

Yeah for sure, if we got a new 30 FCR runeword helm with Cham it would need to be balanced properly, with sacrifices made to account for that fcr

Godly Rare circlets should still be top dog in most cases
