I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it's caching with Redis and just simply uses NGINX and PHP. I think I also read that it's only possible to see so many posts that were recently posted, which is why it's so fast. Any insight? I'm near Kansas City which I think is where I heard the site was hosted, so that's probably why it's so fast for me. Regardless, some sites should really work on their speed and make custom software like this site because I'm tired of slow XenForo and MyBB sites.
Just wish it had threaded replies. That's the only thing legacy forum software is missing.
Edit: and obv when pages are all less than 10KB, that helps too.
A lot of the new libraries are garbage and overly complex and developers who care about actual performance are a dying breed.
