Just like in your crafted ring, you failed to be able to compare what’s valuable for a particular build and the opportunity cost associated with getting. Along with other Available options that provide equal or better value in the slot.

Of which ES sorc would never use these boots, if they knew what they were doing. Because if you needed poison resist form the boot slot, samdstorm trek provide much more value than these in d2r, given you no longer have to worry about Str glitch.

The additional 30 poison resist offered on sandstorm trek offer you the ability for essentially 3 more mana prefixes on small charm slot, which is up to 51 mana.

51 mana > 40 mana

The additionally 10 fhr on trek offer you an additional 2 suffixes on small charm slot, which is 40 life.

Sandstorm trek will have around 270 ish more defense. And as you mentioned before, BM doesn’t matter, therefore all chars you need poison resist for, need AR to hit tou. Therefore more defense scaled by frost armor offers tou a lot of value.

Not to mention treks hve 15str. Which means an additional 15 hard points into energy. Which after BO, frost burns, etc etc, will be at least 100 mana.

Not to mention treks hve 5 vit. Which is an additional 30 life iirc.



For an ES sorc, the times tou need poison resist, sandstorm trek are better.


Which means for the times you don’t need poison resist, these boots are just 30/10/5/40ish mana.


Last time I checked, an item with 4 useful affixes isn’t a trophy.



Rare boots should never be used for an ES sorc, there is always better options.
