I dont think you understand how the upgrade system goes. No. You can upgrade the gem itself you cannot add stars to your gem. The gem is rated 2-5 atar than it has a rank level which if I'm not mistaken caps off at 10. So you can have a rank 10 3 star, rank 10 4 star, rank 10 5 star and etc.

After being upgraded each gem is worth so many "fragments " which in return can be used to upgrade a different gem if you, let's say, find a higher star gem. The higher star gem, the more it takes to upgrade.

Yes I understand that but as I did the simulator i saw quite a few 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 that can be upgraded to 5 star gems and the other crap 2/2, 3/3 etc can be used to upgrade those said gems or am I wrong about that.

Although it was like 1k cash for a 5/5 gem to drop
