Happy Father's Day! Little late, but better than nothing.

I lost my dad 10 years ago. Since then I’ve always tried to ignore Fathers Day as best I could. I found that to be my way of coping. I don’t like acknowledging I no longer have my father, or that he’ll never be here to help me through any problem or situation I face, although this is an unavoidable fact of life.
But now I’ve got two kiddos of my own, a 2 yr old and 8 mo old. Having something to celebrate again is so nice. Fatherhood is one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received.
Celebrate your fathers if you still can. Cherish your own children if your fortunate enough!
I never really knew my dad, left when I was 2 years old, but my grandpa took that role. When he passed away it was heartbreaking, but he was able to meet his grandson.
