It's fine for a barb merc because most of its damage comes from the MH. So as an offhand aura / fade / life tap (assuming you don't want to use another curse), it will make your merc practically immortal. The dmg output of that setup is only a tiny bit lower than double eth headstriker and stronger vs act bosses.

I like the idea of theorycrafting an a5 barb merc. I used x2 griefs on him with GA and arreats and it slapped chaos solo. As a paladin, it’s super fun to deck out your merc and then support him with auras and let him go to toe . Just put on massive MF gear then put on Fanatacism or something.

Any sword with ctc effects would be cool ti dual wield with him, IMO

If you REALLY want a decent poison nova option, make a Bear necro.

Max synergies to nova and make EBOTD in fastest base possible, put in andariel’s with bramble and x4 facet monarch.
