Either they pussied out or more likely, somebody gave them the order to stand down.

Absolute scum either way. There needs to be an investigation into why the police chief ordered them to stand down, and if a federal agency was involved in relaying that decision to him.

But of course there won't be, they will lie about this for decades. If the Uvalde police chief had any self respect he would resign. But he doesn't. He doesn't care about the dead kids and he doesn't care that they twiddled their thumbs for an hour while listening to the gunman execute kids and doing nothing the whole time.

More and more spotted, not sure what will happen to them. Not a promotion for sure.

3 mins isn't enough time for a proper situation that would lead to stricter gun laws.

Left right center or whatever... police needs to act immediately... Especially if you can hear gun shots inside a class you need to assume people are being shot. They need to rush in there regardless of political view. Some things are just common sense.

If a "shooter" is not firing around and is willing to talk, then sure... send someone to talk and take your time as that way you could save lives. So it really depends on the situation imho.

They create/allow a problem.
Let you react to it.
Then offer a "solution."
When in reality they wanted the "solution" all along.
