I get what you're saying, but if it's on the map, shouldn't it spawn regardless? I've used plenty of maps and have never had this happen.

This happens when the last tile you explored was supposed to be the well. It instead spawns the guarenteed treasure chest at the end of the map, overwriting the well

Ah, I didn't realize that was possible. Must be very rare as I use T1 well maps regularly.

Yeah, unfortunately where the well was placed, might be the last spot u searched, which brought the chest instead

Definitely make sense now, just never thought of it as a possibility tbh lol
