I got a LG BH9430PW

I am pretty happy with the system but a few days ago my receiver stoped working.
I wanted to ask if i just can get any 5.1 audio receiver and put the speakers to it?

You can switch to 5.1 but you will have to drop your total amount of speakers. 3 front/2back/subwoofer

I think with this system you simply don't hook up those vertical ones anymore.

You will also need to match RMS wattage and Resistance(ohms)

I'm not sure how well the wireless setup would work with a new receiver however.

damn you're right, i totally forgot about the wireless speakers in the back :/

can you send a photo of the rear of the speakers? One photo of each: tall speakers, the center and surrounds -> 3 photos

Yes I just looked, they are are wireless, or I am not sure how many are wireless. The main unit doesn't seem to have speaker terminals, which means there's no speaker cable.

I mean to be honest that's a bad deal overall. If you do not have warranty I would dump those.

Possibly try and sell the speakers as someone may have children or god knows what could have happened to the ones they own.

I dont mind those speakers to be honest, but if you were to buy a 3 channel more full size speaker setup I personally think it will out perform that entire 5 channel system.

Also you can grab some decent budget AVR's for ~400 US like the Yamaha TSR-700. Also you can always check local thrift stores for thing people throw away which would work great if you dont plan on using a 4k blu ray player
