if you can afford it, are going to use it and you're paying the current market rate it sure, this is universal for anything.

if you're not going to use it for more than a few days and will sell it at a loss than it is of course not worth it.

if you're going to keep it, and again.. can afford it and are paying the market rate then sure buy it.

do you fit into one of those two?

Yep going to use it can afford it and probably build a new computer later with latest intel cpu but seller seems sketch I gotta figure this one out

cool then you should probably get it. just make sure your definition of afford it is refering to the month-to-month you that will live another day, not the you frozen in time at time of posting. average/expected +/- for a given month should dictate that. so like you would buy the GPU because you have 1k extra to spend this month, not because you just won 1k.. because if you lost 1k last week than it doesn't matter if you won. it would be misinforming us and turning us into enablers.

Just wait for retail. It's not impossible to get cards, just have to be vigilant. Non-LHR vs LHR only matters for ethereum which may not even be minable for much longer.

My vote is save your money and start lining up parts for your build at retail price.

If you just can't wait, try to negotiate this down. The seller is likely trying to offload a mining card before ethereum switches to PoS

Let me know if there's any way I can assist in hunting down parts. If you're in the US I hear microcenter is amazing but I'm not sure how they distribute fresh shipments. There's a few places in Canada that will put your name on a list and do call outs when fresh cards come in. Fwiw the 3070 is a great card for your next build! I just think you can get a better deal. LHR cards are also fine for hobby mining if you want it to make money while you're offline
