Can a family not be raised properly where one (if not both) of the parents are trans folk?

I say to each their own, personally.

One has no right to judge what another does behind the closed doors of the home they pay for.

As long as no laws are being broken, any children they may have are being raised in a truly loving home and no others are being put in harms way by one's actions, it's really not my business (this really goes for any family).

Unfair advantages in sporting events is one thing and a totally different conversation, but, in terms of personal life, we all get one of them, it's your prerogative to (legally - which goes for us all) carry it as you see fit.

I'm very fiscally conservative, but I am also very socially liberal.

Well - let's unpack this a little bit:

- As long as one is following the agreed upon societal laws, what gives me the right to think less of them because of how they look?
- We hear stories all the time of the normal family abusing/even up to as much as killing their own child for various reasons. What if that same child could live with an atypical couple who would actually love them?
- Until I pay their rent, what legal right do I have to say anything about what they may legally do behind the closed doors they send the check for every month? Speaking as an American, i'd be breaking the law to take or initiate any call-to-action against them and I have no interest in that.

Do keep in mind -- not everyone who may fit this category has mal-intent. Those who do simply get the loudest voice for media ratings. We need to get back to treating people as individuals no matter their choices rather than tribalism.
