For many years i was in love with shako,
what a wonderfull item,
oh now i remember even since when,
when 1.10 came, suddenly gaze was nomore and shako was everything,

but after so many years i realised that full tal that i tought was a joke is so much better than any other average combination overall,
i mean a bit more overall all res > a bit more overall mf anyday for me,

then lately, for a few years somehow most of my chars took off the waterwalks that i used all those years,
and equipped wartravelers, for all the mf and all the other nice mods.

but a few days ago while cleaning some char(s),
i suddenly realised that wt makes no sense at all,
baba should wear inferno, but thats another story,
and most of all soso should definately put back the amazing waterwalks on.

so my conclusion, same way as shako is overrated, also the wartravs are overrated.

any other items that are overrated u think?

I mean, Shako and WT are early ladder mf items to make profit, they are rarely BiS for any endgame gear.

Shako maybe for PvM hoto/spirit trapsin or Hammerdin (since tiaras are overkill for just a PvM hammerdin) and maybe maybe some firesorcs that are not great.

And for WT is almost the same, they are BiS for PvM bowazon and that it? they are not that bad for melee chars, since they add a bit of damage, but not BiS anyway.

So I'm not sure if overrated is the right word, they do their job pretty well, but their job is MF not be the best item for anything.

EDIT: To add something in to the list, Exile is the most overrated item for me, such a waste of runes for something that is only worth in smiter and don't do better than any random HoZ.

exile too as Titus1986 said. I rolled a couple over the years just because I found the bases... but I never used it in battle xD

I wouldn't say Shako is overrated given how it easily fills in so many easy slots at an early game. Granted Peasant Crown or a Gambled Circlet will do just fine. I wouldn't pay much, but whem you get MF, hp, mana, DR, and MF on one slot, it consolidates a lot of necessary mods.

SOJ is heavily overrated, but it's also probably weighed in with its potential to get an Anni in large quantities. 1 skill and mana isn't worth it to me for how much they charge for them.

I personally think 30/10/tri res boots are overrated. With Amulet, Rings, Circlets, Charms, many caster items, and socketable items, who needs to spend 2k on a 30/10 some tri res boots? It's like when many people say CoH is overrated and will turn around to spend double that for half the res and 30/10 mods?

Yes, harlequin crest is overrated. Enigma is ovverated. Most of these popularized and hyped items are overrated. And that's only down to one thing: Greed. People hyping them up so they can squeeze cash out of naive young gamers.

Please tell me how enigma is overrated.
