Okay so when I plug my DP cable in it doesn’t register and put picture on the screen . But when I put a hdmi cable it works , how do I fix this I heard DP cable is way better and I just want to run everything to its best abilities

find the buttons on ur monitor and change it from hdmi to display port

so i plugged in the dp cable and it shows video on my display but do i have to switch it to DP port in order to get the full experience >??>

Hi Jaypin,

First check to see if your display port cable is 1.4 or 1.2. If it’s 1.2 than an HDMI 2.0 cable is a better fit. If you got a 1.4 display port cable than you are correct it is better,

If you have visuals when plugging in your display port cable and unplugging your HDMI than your monitor automatically detected the change in cables and switched the format for you and you would not need to do anything else.
