As with all internal problems I think addressing it in any form makes your life better.

but i dont have internal problems to address  i have external ones like being poor af, having no job etc, but mentally im actually quite fine

also the meditation i did was literally 20 min every day of focusing on breath, nothing else  i dont see why that should have any effects on anything

Focusing is something you aren't giving enough credit to. This alone is a skill that needs much polish for many daily problems. How often do you really focus on something one on one outside of meditation? Not a lot i'd guess.

Also being poor and broke puts you in a pretty huge risk category for an undiagnosed disorder.

but still i dont understand why would focusing matter so much if you are functional anyways  i mean, the exact mechanism  like for example diabetes -> kidney failure -> no vit d hydroxylation -> cant use calcium -> osteoporosis or something

Ever seen an athlete? Think you can keep up with them without some personal work? it's the same thing except instead of physical training you are doing mental training.

Without knowing your life i can't give you any specifics because the brain is complex, but it's almost certainly dopamine related. Research has showed large spikes after meditation i believe.

well yes if i train to focus, i will be better at focusing, but why would that affect other things? i like the dopamine hypothesis though, got something where i can read more about it  ?
