I have a car but used a bike for many years and still even with having a car I'll walk to work 2x per week

Do you keep any extra coats, blankets or have an umbrella in your car? All of them can contribute to condensation. As your car ages, the chance of leaks increases. Maybe even try washing your window, not just wiping it down. As grime accumulates on your windshield, it gives moisture something to adhere to.
