I believe the Irontux had the same critique given about the spacing between the items, which we ended up changing from 40px to 24px. However we decided to adjust this to 16px on larger screen sizes aswell. It was the same for the Fuccon item displays which was 30px, changed to 16px.
Fox/gunn had a spacing of 12px which worked great in the design file because of the number of products in a single row.
I tend to overlook these things during design and fix them at production when I notice it just doesn't look right on some screens
