Me and a friend considering going back, how unrealistic is it to buy my way to being decently competitive?

Are gear all tradeable or bound?

If you are coming back to Legacy you have a couple of choice to be competitive:

Hiram tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 - not tradeable (need a lot of farming/time)
Erenor tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 - tradeable (need a lot of gold)

Erenor is better than Hiram; you can check the item encyclopedia in the inventory to compare both.


In the other hand:

Gamigo just sold Archeage to Kakao Games so probably there is going to be a fresh start soon.
