Republicans: The election is illigitimate! They changed and fabricated votes! Ignore that we have zero evidence, and all of our lawyers when put under oath never said it was fraudulent, and that the guy heading our cause is getting sued for billions of dollars for defamation.....
Democrats: Republicans are actively limiting voting in unethical and possibly unconstitutional ways, and this calls into question the democratic foundation of our system.
Pretty big difference in positions, but please tell me how they're the same.
Limiting voting in unethical and possibly unconstitutional ways, like...
Dramatically cutting the number of in-person polling places?
Forcing voters to wear masks at polling places or have their name recorded on a list of violators who will be convicted and fined?
Waiving the witness or notary requirements for absentee ballots without legislative process?
Mass mailing ballots to each address without being requested?
We just
had an election in which the rules were dramatically changed at the last minute in ways that obviously favor one party, and that included limiting voting in "unethical and possibly unconstitutional ways"
I thought the bar for these election denials was now supposed to be "You can't prove it"
But here's Joe Biden trying to establish
speculative injury, like all those election lawsuits the Trump campaign filed that judges were able to dismiss because
you can't prove it.
Sure, those mass mail-in ballots and rescinding ballot security measures
could have been exploited by malicious parties to 'steal the election', but there's no evidence of widespread voter fraud, just like there's no evidence of voter suppression in 2022
