I want a fresh start in a new state. Somewhere that is relaxed, safe, affordable, and has some scenery. Not too humid and not too cold.
I work as a CT Technologist at a level 1 trauma center. So wherever I go would need to have a strong healthcare community.
I originally thought Chattanooga, TN. It meets some of the criteria but I have this feeling there is somewhere better.
Chattanooga has a high crime rate and my currently location has a lot of shootings. I want to avoid that.
I have done endless hours of research and keep finding areas that are nice but chances of violent crime are high.
Do we have any suggestions?
I've lived in a few areas throughout MN and WI over the years. Duluth MN and the North Shore are the best between the scenery, terrain, and people. Essentia Health has a big operation up there, and they are gearing up to sell it to Mayo Clinic was the rumor. The city people are hippydippy progressives, and the country folk are 'north neckers' which is a more reasonable redneck IMO. Some live in Superior WI since its cheaper generally.
Even though its cold as hell, the sea smoke is a sight to behold, especially when a barge comes out of it through the lift bridge.
